While I'm not sold on his path, I think its great that he has something that is so wonderful to him that he wants to share it...
If you don't like what's on TV change the channel.
"There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance- that principle is contempt prior to investigation."
-Herbert Spencer
If you're looking for religious tones definetly look into White Light, White Heat, White Trash. Besides the obvious ones, Untitled even strikes me a song that could be refering to God. Check it out. But as with all great song writers, and even poets, I think Mike understands that songs are more powerful when you don't spell it out for people. You allow them to make the song what it is to them, and within that stems all the songs power. While Angel's Wing may not seem religious to some, all that matters is that it relates to you in that way.
And why I don't think he's deeply religious, it's obvious he respects the lord in songs such as When the Angel's Sing. "Who am I to question you?"
He may not be a perfect role model, but in a punk sense, he's pretty close. I always respect the fact that he doesn't paint a pretty picture when it comes to drug use and etc. Most bands these days walk around acting like they gain some edge from it, when Mike is the first to tell you that it's a horrible place that no one should go. Honest song writing.
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Yeah I went back and listend to alot of his songs, and ALOT are spiritial influenced. But Mike put it best in an interview of the johnny cash movie, You have to show the bad with the Good to see the true beauty. We are all short of the glory of God. We are all sinners. We've all done horriable things. Whether anyone knows about it or not. And I think we can relate to someone whos been there or "Admited" they have been there in the thick of the bad, then came back to see the light. Then someone who pretends to be in the light the whole time. To me, its very obvious where Mike's faith is, and were all of our faith should be. It should be in the Lord of all Lords, the King of all Kings, the ONE & Only Lord Jesus Christ. The pathway to destruction is wide, but the pathway to enternal life is small, and very few travel on it. Here are the two most important commands we are given by our Lord Jesus Christ, #1 - Love the Lord with all your heart" and #2 - Love your neighbor. Everthing else will fall into place.Quote:

No Jesus is just a fairytale. Or did you mean JWB?

Angel's Wings is my favourite Social D song, it's actually mt favourite ever song, but the way I interpret it is that it's about life and i I relate my life and experiences to it, rather than relating it to Religion, I think songs can mean anything to anyone it's just the way that person interprets them.
